    18-55 kit lens.

only have that, and the 50/1.8, but im picking up a 70-200 f/4L on sunday used from a good buddy($460, only used for a total of 2 weeks in a studio)

    Horrible lens. Do not recommend.
the shots come out good, but teh low light situations SUCK, its cheap plastic, and generally feels like a kit lens. if i were you, id check out the tamron 17-50/2.8...its what im getting in a bit

70 200 4.0L is a hell of a lens for $600 new, $500 or less used. It's a bit lacking when the lighting is poor but most will switch to a prime lens for that type of situation (ie 85 1.8). The 70 200 4.0L is pretty sharp wide open; it doesn't give as much background blur as the 2.8 but for panning shots, this is a moot point.
