These aren't anything special just two pictures that I took with my new Xsi and kit lens. Only cropping on the 2nd one. The first one is mine and my fiance's chinchilla Oliver. He HATES the flash! So rip me a new one on my first pics.

Have fun with the new camera. Check out the sticky's, they have a ton of useful information.

    I did too...when I was 14.

Just keep shooting...when you think you have some great shots post them up and then we'll rip you apart, but as long as you listen, you'll continually get better.

Seriously, my first DSLR was a D90 and the first thing I did was go to a park and take shots of flowers and trees and stuff I thought looked interesting...ya, really gay. There's a saying that your first 10,000 shots are your worst (and that's most likely referring to film). So just shoot shoot shoot and shoot some more.

Glad you're digging your new camera and enjoy it!

Well I'm almost 25 and I still have an infatuation with fire. It's simply beautiful in my mind.

my parents found the perfect way to at least start curing me of that love of fire. when i was 13, we moved to a farm and had to burn our trash as there was no collection out there. talk about a way to destroy the fun aspect of playing with fire, make it a chore.

but like the others said, the first is a snapshot, the second one shows some promise. good luck and keep reading and practicing.

I wasn't saying that to be mean, btw. Keep on shooting and it'll all come to you with time. Keep sharing on here for advice.
