it seems more gimmicky than revolutionary. i prefer the cage and ring
all that does is keep people from using the cage, which kinda defeats the purpose to me
No lions, tigers, or bears?? I am DEFINITELY disappointed!
Honestly though, it might keep people from getting tangled in the ropes or held against the cage which isn't a bad thing...
So they took a WCL ring and put a cage around it.
I can see some jumping spin kick shit happening off of it.
Yeah thats what im thinking, I like it.
Seems interesting enough. It will probably be easier to stand up if you get taken down near the incline too. It also looks like it will be dangerous to take someone down by running them up against the cage first. The other guy would have enough leverage to just belly flop on you. In terms of being "revolutionary" though...whatever. Fighting will always just be fighting. This is just something to spice it up in a way without using alligators. It's like if you let guys run with their bat in baseball to take out the catcher or made hockey nets bigger so games would be higher scoring.
Exactly, which will promote action....I think.
Good idea, IMO. Too bad no decent fighters will ever be in it.
in for epic failure
i could imagine that causing a lot of broken ankles.
I could see a lot of injuries occurring in that set up but at the same time, fighter would be less inclined to go push someone against the cage and it would force the fighters to use their footwork to keep things in the middle.
Or how about the no paddings at all on the intersections of the cage?
and i doubt that many gyms will even have this setup to train in, and they'll get a lot of barely-pro fighters that won't know what they're doing
wow i just noticed that myself...
DANGA DANGDA DANGA
not "revolutionary", but not a bad idea. at least its different. I'll hold off final judgment till i see some fights.
I'd like to see a fight in a bouncy castle.

imagine being tied up against the cage and getting tripped and falling backwards... head hits the mat from like 6 or 7 feet in the air
the ring is the least of yamma's worries, their fight card is weak as shit, they'd need broken glass and rings of fire in there to draw a ppv crowd with the fighters they have going at it
. there is no way they will last long.
Word, what the fuck is this.
I see someone getting hurt trying to sprawl or something.
its going to throw alot of people off. I know a couple of guys that fight for the miami team in the wcl and they say those pit desighns are harder to fight in than rings or cages. Alot of these guys have grown accustomed to using corners and cages to trap people with this desighn its alot harder.
I dont know if any of you guys have tried sparing in a big open area but if the other person likes to back away and fight on the outside its really hard and frustrating if your an aggresive type fighter. My freind is like that he likes to kick and stay outside and counter punch. He doesnt like to go in there and mix it up. When we spar in a cage or ring its only a matter of time before I back him in the cage and take him down or shove him in a corner and wail on him. If we spar in an open space he just goes to town on me
