 I've had my 17-40 for a year now. I love it, but I kind want to sell it and get a 16-35 II :yum:

The easier solution would be to buy a full frame with the 24-70

I'd love to upgrade my 1D MK II to a 1Ds MK III... only thing is that's a hell of a lot of money I don't have. Grad school doesn't pay enough.

I've been using the 17-40 4L for about three years now. There are times I'd like the 16-35 2.8 but that's only when sometimes at night I have trouble focusing through the f4 lens. I've started using a few things to make that easier though because the 17-40 makes good sense, I don't need a 2.8 lens when almost all my shooting is stopped down on a tripod.

That was my first L lens too. I just sold it and bought the 16-35 f/2.8 L lens but I'm kind of wishing I had purchased the II series instead of the first series. Oh well. I'll have to see how sharp it is WHEN I GET MY FUCKING CAMERA!!

I also splurged on the 70-200 f/2.8L IS lens. My most expensive purchase.

    I want

    35L
200 F2 (I guess instead of the 1.8 since it's no longer serviceable, although it's amazing)
    400 2.8

And I guess for basketball I need / want a 24-70, but this zoom range doesn't excite me all that much.
