tournaments can be pretty fun. make sure you bring lots of food and liquids. i always brought bagels, powerbars, clementines, gatorade, water, etc. taking a camera is always a good choice. sometimes for long tournaments i took a pillow to take naps in the bleachers. good luck dude. is this the one tony is doing?

eat hearty in the morning, bring a little tiny snack and tons of water, make sure you warmup before.. do squats.. pushups whatever.. just warmup.. and relax and calm down you will be nervous and want to use all your strength but remember, it's jiujitsu.. calm down and use it when you have too

I don't know why, but I feel more nervous for this than I did for my MMA fight. I was calm as hell for that(I also care more about BJJ than MMA by far). I know I have the skills to go up there and do well in my respective divisons. I just don't want to let my instructors down...:hs:

Nick Ackerman (ADCC vet with no feet) beat me in the finals with a 50/50 heel hook and tore my knee pretty nice.

I knew this guy was going to surprise me with his ... legs?

if he had the rest of his legs I would have seen this coming but no.. dude was good, and ... about 80 pounds heavier than me.. and RETARDED strong...

I've rolled with a lot of people.. nobody ever as strong as him.. ever..

good times though.. :wtc: rub it in

Sorry to hear man, at least you can take something from this. You did what you thought was right and it didn't work this time. Crazy strength also puts people off any game plan they think they have. Keep at it man, you can't win them all. I had to watch my friend get RNC today :wtc:. When he rolled over on his belly I wanted him to go Super Saiyajin x 2

 everyone besides Me, Fedor and possibly Lyoto Machida loses

Serious question why are there so many amputees that are so good at wrestling/grappling?

Less serious question how the fuck does he walk?

Rob Voss, took his back and RNC'd.. then Dan Carstens with a foot lock.. I was not impressed with my performance with Dan.. I attacked him for 5 or more minutes and he defended everything very well

I took second in both of my divisions. Messed up my elbow in the last 15 seconds of my last match trying to go for the win when I was down 2-0. Overall I had a freaking blast. Went like 12-3 overall for the day, if I would of trained more gi before this tournament I could of won first, but a Gi choke owned me. It's ok though.

Just lost on 1 takedown in the NoGi Finals.

And I did win a few matches by flying triangle. Should have some pics up later.

Ackerman isn't just a regular disabled dude that train BJJ or wrestled. He's on of those "super athletes"
