oh god, please let it be true. I've been watching my brother and girlfriend play Fallout 3 for hours over the past 2 weeks and I am craving more Fallout (I already logged 115hrs with main story/dlc/exploring on my profile, myself). here's hoping they atleast bring back V.A.T.S. and the huge vast areas that I loved to explore. I want a game like FO3 again where I was walking towards one new area and end up sidetracking myself with 6 other places I wanted to go. Or saying "yeah, I'm just gonna go spend 20 minutes on the game and it really ending up being 5 hours before I got off the game" :x: :x:

VATS was awesome. Thats all I used. Controls were too sloppy to play as a FPS.

I don't get the hate on VATs anyway, it's not like you had to use it.

I loved it myself but I don't like FPS stuff typically.

Honestly it's only failout on the PS3.... which is sad. I bought the GotY on PS3, riddled with bugs and slowdown/crashes. Just bought it on the PC and it's . New Vegas will be a day one PC purchase for me when it's released.

I really hate FO3... mostly because I started out on the wrong foot... I have 3hp, everything can kill me in one hit.... I can't restore my health because I have no money... can't get no money cause I have 3hp... FUCKING FAIL.

Rest on a bed somewhere. You don't have to pay for a lot of them.

but... yeah you must have really screwed up to even get to that position in the first place.

also, make a lot of saves. don't keep saving over the same file. you want to have a trail of saves you can go back to if you get stuck.

This thread makes me want to go back to the crack that is FO3. My first save I had the entire main game (no DLC) pretty much explored and did every possible quest except the treasure hunting shit. A lot of hours. Then I lost my save before the DLC's came out. I wanted to play them so I rushed through the main part to do the new stuff. So on my current save I have the main story and the DLC done but none of the other shit with a maxed out dude.

I pretty much came out the vault with little to no health left because I was like WTF the whole time when I kept getting beat up by the vault police while trying to get the fuck out.
