I'll decide when all the info comes out about how the games and old libraries will work. I figure they'll finalize that at TGS this weekend.

it's $450 in australia, making it $50 cheaper than the ps3.

Eh, I'd rather buy a PSP 3000. Cheaper & bigger screen, plus physical media still > digital-only :hs:

And probably more comfy to hold too. The GO looks uncomfortable with everything way down on the bottom ledge whereas on the 3000 you at least have the sides of the unit to hold onto.

Yeah... No. While retailers will have sales on physical media, you can bet Sony will be the last people to drop the price on any particular title.

I could understand if the dowload was priced lower to combat the issue of the high cost of hardware, but it will actually be higher for the above reason.

Paying more for the unit, and more for games, on a device that will give you carpel tunnel after 15 mins of use? Fuck that.

I don't think the world is ready for downloadable ONLY. Having it as an option - yes - but removing the UMD all together was dumb. The only reason PSP has sold really well is because its hackable and I'm sure it's going to take a bit until this is...mine is basically a portable SNES/NES at this point...I still prefer the heavier original PSP.... :dunno:

This, in for backlash when mom buys her son PSP Go and a game only to find she wasted her money and/or she doesn't have internet.

Fuck that price. DSi is $180 with $10 in downloable credit.

Worst "review" ever. Nothing in that we didn't already know. Why are they claiming first review when all of that info was released in July? Also, reviewing a product outdoors after having it for "five minutes," with no real comparison to previous gen PSPs FTL. Show us how the store and downloads work or something. There are much more in-depth videos out there.

 I love how you people have already held it. Read some legitimate reviews/previews and you'll know that it really isn't uncomfortable at all. A lot of reviewers like the feel of it. My wrists would start to hurt after holding the original PSP for a while. PSP-2000 fixed that for the most part, and I'm sure 3000 is even better. I have smaller hands, so this will probably work out better for me.

It looks like a great product. I won't pay more than $200 for it though. There is no reason it should cost that much. :dunno:

I don't even know if I'd pay $200 for the GO. I like the look of the 3000 more with the bigger screen plus its $80 cheaper. There's no way a portable unit should be only $50 cheaper than the PS3 slim.

I have big hands, I'm going by the previous Game Boy > Game Boy SP deal. I prefer the original and this is the exact same thing.

With that being said, I don't even know if I'd pay $100 for any PSP period. Not cause I don't think its worth that but for me I just wouldn't use it. I had a PSP1000 way back and sold it cause it collected dust. When I'm out on the commute, I only care to have my Zune with me for music and Blackberry to surf the net. Watching movies or playing portable games just doesn't interest me at all when I'm commuting. Plus its another device that you need to lug around.

why would you buy this when sony is charging more for digital media than the lowest store prices on physical games?

    just doesnt make sense
I would give this machine alot more respect if it had a touch screen but it doesnt so Its just another overpriced sony product
