Was hard as hell to get decent shots, as someone mentioned, the safety cage is a beeyotch . I was really just fooling around in PS here.

I rented a 70-200 f/1.4-2.8 IS L lense for the event, it was good practice. started shooting in day light, race ended with the lights on, good practice.

anywho, here is a teaser, i'm going to get cracking on the other 100 or so pictures that made the cut to "maybe i can salvage" in the coming weeks

Oh, my bad, apparently I made a mistake assuming you'd be intelligent enough to figure out what I meant.

    Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS

    There, better?

Cool idea and concept, but 99% of it is OOF.

Thanks for the C&C. I really don't like how it came out from a cropping standpoint also. I'd like to push it more to the left giving more "area" for the green car, but there is a gigantic grey pole in the way.

I'm happy enough with the % OOF :dunno:

Is there a general rule of thumb for the amount of a picture to me OOF vs. in focus? I took pictures of people watching the car and they have a large DOF, so i'd like to know something to keep in mind when cropping. Thanks.

    :ugh:

it would be better if you took a picture that wasn't through a fence.
