I've had my Nikon for about a month, and have slowly been learning how much shit this thing can do. Anyways, here are just a few of the pics:

Are the two guys on the right holding hands? :squint:

Yeah I like the first one best as well. The noise gives it sort of a grungy/dirty feeling to it. If every picture we took came out completely smooth without noise photography would be pretty boring.

Haha, yeah, they're jokers. And yeah, the noise is nice, I thought. It's not overpowering, and it makes the image look stragely sharper.

Oh, and the lens is the 18-70 kit lens. Great lens, though.

Yes, I only have the one lens. I've found it to be fairly versatile. It doesn't have macro, which I'd like, though I can still get pretty close. I really want the Nikon 50mm. It seems pretty cheap, and people say it's hella sharp.

What exactly would I use it for? Snapshots/low light/portraits?

    low light, portraits.

    the 50mm (75mm, 35mm equivalent) isn't a practical range for group snapshots.

I shoot RAW+Jpeg. Sometimes I just have the Jpeg as basic to act as thumbnails or starting points for the RAW files. They're just alot more flexibility and data in a RAW file, so you might as well have it/use it.
