    I'm going to hurt tomorrow...

Lot of fun though. We did basic warm ups, into falls, into fall-stand up-move drills, then a sprawl drill.

Then we did some rolling around. I was shown an arm bar, leg bar, and a kimura (sp). I couldn't do it again right now to save my life, but I was able to in class.

After that, some traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu. Then closed with some guard/mount work.

I've watched enough MMA to know what I want to do. But I have no clue how to do it, if that makes sense. But I was a white belt before, so I expected to be clueless.

Also, it's 3 nights a week. Monday and Wednesday are in the gi, and are mostly BJJ, traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu, and some Judo. Friday nights are boxing/kickboxing.

If (that's a big if) I don't want to die tomorrow, and I think I can swing it with my schedule (which I think I can), I'll probably go ahead and sign up. They have a 6 month contract, which I don't like, but the instructor is really good, the facilities are very nice, and the class size is small.

We do alot of leg and ankle locks right away because our BJJ/Grappling is very CSW oriented.

Congrats on getting started. It HURTS but you will become addicted to rolling on the ground in pajamas very quickly! :noes:

I STILL get those, not nearly as bad anymore though. I started using Cryogel for my bumps and bruises.

I had complete control at the elbow, wrist and fingers. It wasn't until like 10 seconds later that it completely stiffened out. The judoka was sloppy and pretty much handed me the armbar. He tapped as soon as he saw that I was going to apply it.

yeah they said no toe holds/arm/knee bars til youre able enough not to hurt the guy youre doing it to and never any small joint manipulation.
