Hey guys, I'm 5'7", 152lbs, and I'm ready to bulk for the first time. Here's what I have planned... is it too much calories? What should I change?

    Total calories: 3799

    Fat: 75G
    Proteins: 368G
    Carbs: 412G

    3 egg whites
    2 whole eggs
    1 cup oats
    1 apple

    5 oz chicken breast
    1 cup oats

    4 oz tuna
    3 wheat bread slices

    4oz turkey

    1 cup oats
    4 oz turkey

    8 oz salmon

    6 oz salmon

    Cottage cheese
    Veggies

Hmm, it would be best if I removed all the salmon, wouldn't it? It'd leave me with this:

    3300 cals

    55g fat
    295g proteins
    412g carbs

Hmm, looks like you were right, I didn't notice www.fitday.com gave me 1800 cals for my 3 cups of oats.

It all looks like food you'd eat when cutting, why go through all the trouble. Put some steak in there instead of chicken breast or salmon, bread or bagel instead of oats, and definitely alot more carbs near the end of the day. Throw in potatoes and lots of milk.

Also, don't be afraid to get into pizza or fast food every once in awhile, very easy calories (albeit not the greatest health wise).

yea why bulk and have to cut off 20lbs instead of bulking clean and cutting off 5-10lbs? it might take longer but its worth it.

I was going to say that didn't look like 3700 calories, but I see you have noticed the problem. I don't know how much salmon costs, but that bulking diet seems like it might be pretty costly

Yep I noticed and I changed it, and added 6 ounces of salmon back into the diet. As for the cost, I'm a spoiled kid and my parents will pay for my food. My mom thinks protein powder and creatine are omgsodangerousyou'lldiein5years, so she'd rather pay for this :hsugh:

Today is my first day on this diet, eating everything I planned is such a pain in the ass.

It's definitely not a bad thing, but I very much doubt he's getting as many cals as he thinks. Part of the good thing about bulking is that you don't really have to watch the type of food you're eating because you'll likely be getting your RDA of vitamins/minerals from the sheer amount you're eating. Fats make easy calories, and will provide ample fuel for hormone production.

It does look like a good bulking plan, not my taste though.

at 152 lbs, it look like you'll be getting plenty of food. Make sure to work out really hard so you don't turn into a lard ass.
