Please throw all your comments and suggestions at me. It was my first time out taking pictures and I know I need to work on avoiding overexposure but is there anything else?

Taken using a Pentax Zoom 105 Super (discontinued to my knowlege) 35mm 100iso film. Slightly windy so I know some flags/trees move. Some quality has been lost to the scanner and some pics I can't host due to size.

Picture #1, the Fairmont Chateau Laurier from underneath the something or other bridge. Built as a hotel in 191x for the Canadian (National or Pacific) Railway to attract riders to the routes. Now it serves as one of Ottawa most luxurious hotels.

Picture #2, Canadian National War Memorial (along with Tomb of The Unknown Soldier (not pictured due to size restrictions)) with the Chateau Laurier in the background.

Picture #3, A view over the Ottawa River from behind Parliament Hill. The view is of downtown Gatineau and many of the Government offices as well as the Alexander MacKenzie King Bridge that once served as the only link between Ottawa and Montreal for the Canadian Railways, leads up to the Chateau Laurier

Picture #4 See description for pic number two.

Picture #5 Interesting stairs. Not sure why I took the picture but the architechture seemed interesting.

Oh and if anyone could give me tips for ediiting these in Photoshop 7.0, it would be much appreciated. I would like to put them in borders and possibly even frame one.

    :dunno:

not exactly a lot to work with. The resolution is really low, and there's way too much light.

how big is the file? OT uploads does up to 500 kb. But even so you could reduce the size of it in photoshop so that it's less than that. It's better to have a smaller pic with better resolution than a larger pic with crappy resolution.

It would only let me upload 100kb files, at a maximum of 5 files.

Very nice, all very sexy... go out again sometime!!

Well... we could always crop them down and then lower the quality of the gif image... it just wont look as good on here also umm are you just auto settings for the light and stuff?

did you process these in the darkroom yourself?
maybe try a lower contrast sheet

pics look really grainy for iso100, but maybe its just the scanner

the only one that really gets my attention is the alst one. but it would look a TON better without the area in the red.
