I decide to finally attempt to see what this is all about.

    The site is: http://www.besthockeydeals.com/

I'm running it with commission junction affiliate links.

Any of the more seasoned people around have any suggestions on ways to improve it? Go about getting traffic to it? etc?

I just set up some google adwords but apparently my $0.20 bids for keywords and $0.75 bids for placement are too low so I'm not sure what I can do there without going broke

    nice and clean and functional.
I would shrink down the header a bit and throw some more ads up.

whats the pay terms for cj again? I would take that site and sign upf or the ebay partner netowrk and use a bans script to pull hockey stuff as well and run a daily ebay deals thing ro somethign along the side. Also I'd add a email list for people to enter in their email for daily deals and send them ebay links for cheap hockey stuff.

varies per affiliate but the one im using for this site is 7% of sale total.

i'm going to check out that bans and including an email sign up.

thanks for the feedback so far from everyone

edit: BANS looks a LOT better than when I had checked it out before. i wasn't looking forward to starting out $100 in the red though

If I am correct, I don't think Ebay allows advertising via PPC anymore?

Don't buy bans. Google fucked all those sites up recently. Just buy PHPbay and throw it on a wordpress theme.

    it's a basic script i got from http://www.yorkspace.com/simple-php-mailing-list

i'm in the process of customizing it a little for javascript validation and what not, along as fixing up the sendmessage.php file to get more sending options

i'll also post the updates i make to it when its done

5-10 would be a good choice in my opinion. Nothing else just do 5 on the first, 10 on the rest:dunno:

Oh and I'd swap font sizes between the "welcome" content and the copyright.
