A&P Fireworks

    4th of July is coming up

    anyone have experience shooting fireworks and can post some shots with tips/suggestions?

    Put your camera on a tripod or an otherwise stable surface. Point it where the fireworks are going, do as long of an exposure as you can, open the shutter when the fireworks start.

    I didn't have a tripod here so I improvised and propped it up on a rock. Came out allright:

    infinite aperature
    point where they are going to be going (you can crop later)
    low iso
    remote
    tripod
    first group of fireworks (b/c the smoke later gets in the way)

    Wish for wind to blow the smoke away. I always shoot around f20 or so, WB on K, and exposure on bulb.......using a remote and tripod.
