This Sandisk Extreme IV reader that I've had for a while worked fine a few weeks ago (XP). Since then, I've reformatted and have XP running on the machine. I do not have any firewire ports on the board so I'm using a firewire card and also have a SB Audigy w/ a firewire port on it. The WD MyBook works fine through the firewire card, but the reader does not. The reader will also not work through the firewire port on the Audigy. BTW, I've got SP3 installed.

Any ideas wtf could cause this? I seem to recall the reader being plugged into the same card as the hard drive prior to the reformat and working just fine.

I'm sure I may have left some details out, let me know if that is the case. I'm hoping you guys can help me figure this out.

    Thanks in advance.

You may need to tell XP that it is a Mass Storage Device...

    How would I do that?

I didn't mention it, but in device mangler there is nothing there with the ? or yellow whatever, everything appears to be functioning fine - just no cardreader.

    Thanks.
