I need a GOOD firewire card. The only catch: it MUST have a non Texas Instruments chipset! I talked to Adaptec about their Fireconnect card, and it does have a TI chipset.

Anybody on here have a Firewire card that works well? Would you mind checking to see if it has a TI chipset? if not, please post the brand and model! Thanks

Thanks for finding that. I went ahead and ordered it along with a few other things. At that price, if it doesnt work, I'll throw it away. Ive already blown $8,000 or so on this nonlinear editor.
