I just got a new computer and when browsing through websites with videos on the pages it says i need to download a pugin. Well, I do a search for the plugin and it says none are found and that I need to do a manual search.

When doing the manual search I try to download the WM10 plugin, but when I try to install it says I have a newer version already installed.

What do I need to do?

    Thanks.

    Try this:

You've got to copy the mplayer plugins from /opt/firefox/plugins to /usr/local/firefox/plugins. I don't know why it installs there but it does.

I can't even find those paths. I'm assuming they should be under program files?

I figured it out. I had to download the Windows media player Plugins for Netscape Navigator and then copy the plugins (.dll files) from C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins. After that is worked.

I got the instruction on how to do it here.
