so i just noticed that if i have a page in a tab that uses meta refresh to refresh itself on set intervals that every time it does refresh it steals focus from whatever tab i may be in.

it's very annoying. anyway to fix this?

and i don't mean disabling the refreshing or removing it from the page. just making it so it doesn't steal focus. lots of pages do this, like news pages and so forth so if i leave them open in the background they'll just steal focus at random intervals :rl: like CNN refreshes every 30 minutes and so on. plus i have a tool at work that i sometimes leave open that refreshes.

I'm assuming that you want this to be a feature for your users? If it were at a personal level I'd recommend Reload Every, a Firefox extension that refreshes the page at set intervals...

no, the pages already refresh using a meta refresh. the reason it upsets me because in firefox if i'm browsing in a different tab and a background tab refreshes it will steal focus away from whatever i'm doing.
