I've never really had a problem with safari....I love firefox for the PC, I only use that unless I need to use IE for windows media purposes...but never really seen the big deal for Mac use...

Did I miss the boat on something

    DO NOT INSTALL 1.5 BETA!

I jinxed myself. Ever since I said I didn't have a problem, the shit has been locking up 2-3 times a day easy on both of my powermacs. And, it would probably be more often if I didn't give up and start up Safari instead.

I stopped using it. Safari stays champ for me, with camino improving with every build.

I found Safari to be a PITA when I first got my mac. I used Firefox all the time.

But it started crashing a lot & having weird issues. So I thought I'd force myself to go try Safari again. After learning to cope w/the bookmarks being on top & the lack of a usable bookmark sidebar I use it exclusively. I find it harder to go back to FF now.

I think it's because my scroll-click in FF isn't recognized so I can't open & close tabs w/it. But it works fine in Safari. It's a tradeoff.

I go back and forth between firefox and safari. It seems that for my iBook, (800mhz G4, 648 megs) there is no such thing as a decent browser :(

Although Firefox beta 1.5 seems pretty good. I've switched back.

    And Camino is just crap.
