So I went ahead and bought headlight replacements for my popups. They're 90mm hella high beam units that I'll use for a while until I pick up some HID projector lowbeams.

I'm still on the edge of it right now. I like it but it looks like a hack to me. I can't wait to get the lowbeams so I can clean everything all up. I'll be mounting the lowbeams in place of the stock fogs. I'll either be running a city light (194 wedge bulb) or halo ring as the turn signal/running light when I put the lowbeams in. Opinions?

With the motors/bulbs/popup crap removed the doors can just be lifted up right now. I had thought that they would fly up as soon as I started driving but they only shoot up while going fast on a bumpy road.

No front plate and driving around without your headlights popped up at night looks like a policeman's wet dream to me. Good luck.

What does workspace have to do with anything? It's not like I asked if I could do it, I already did.

Plate is on the dash (still against the law but it's visible if they really want to look at it). These are replacement headlights, as in, the popup bulbs would be redundant. The illegal part about them now is that they are too low. But with my car being lowered the stock lights are under the regulation height anyways.

You guys that like the popups don't mind the huge breakup of the lines? What about if these were mounted where the stockers go? I'm somewhat surprised at how many people like those big flaps.

i dont much like the popups either, kills the aerodynamic look in my eyes. looks like you might need a touchup paint job on that bumper though, looks kinda beatup.
