just find this story pretty cool.

back when my step dad was in college he was involved in a firearms club that had regular shooting competitions at a range where he lived. At the time he had a Mauser K98 bolt action rifle. Anyway he was driving one day with his windows down and some guy got beside him yelling that my step dad cut him off and was motioning for him to pull over so they could get in a fistfight. So my step dad pulls over and the other guy does to. It just so happened my step dad had the K98 in a case on his back seat. So the guy is coming up to him, and he grabs the K98 and gets out, chambers a round, and points it at the guy. He said the guy froze in his tracks, turned around, got in his car and drove off. :mamoru:

Hrm... that doesn't seem like such a great way to handle that situation. He could have just kept driving instead of risking 2 peoples' lives.

Agreed. Escalating the incident is NEVER good. It would be one thing if it was ready in the backseat. bad that he pulled it and chambered it. Ever worse that he pointed it at him. Did he have the AOJ's to justify that action? doubt it.

Should have slowed down and pulled off at the next exit. No way in hell I would be getting out of the car.

You're either unbelievably stupid or just trying to act tough on the internet. Whatever it is, stop it.

actually, no. I would have laughed and kept driving. You can't point a gun at anyone that pisses you off or yells at you. That's against the law.

  19. That makes sense, like lug nuts on a birthday cake.

A similar thing happenned to my dad...

Apparently these guys in a pickup thought he cut them off or something and are honking and trying to run him off the road. They are yelling lots of things about "Pull over" "I'm gonna kick your ass" etc. So, my dad pulls over and the passenger of the truck walks up to my dad's window. He says "get out so I can kick your ass" and my dad pulls out a Ruger 22...says the guy nearly shit himself and ran back to the truck.

Pulling over is a big mistake there, just keep driving. Now if he pulls in front of you and slams on the breaks or in some other way forces you to stop/off the road and then comes storming back to your car . . . then its time to at least have the gun at the ready, but willfully getting involved in that is not a good idea.
