Well I joined the AR crew a while back with one of CMMG's bargain bin rifles. The intent was to get a barebones AR and figure out what I liked and what I didn't like. I changed out the grip and stock on the CMMG before I decided that I minus whale just sell it and build an AR EXACTLY the way I want it. I finished it a while back but finally got around to taking some pictures of it. Specs are... Lower: POF-USA Gen I lower DPMS LPK KNS Gen II anti-rotational pins Magpul MIAD grip LMT SOPMOD stock H buffer Upper: CMT upper LMT AR-15 BCG JP Rifles 16" Stainless match barrel, 1:8 twist, light profile JP Rifles Recoil Eliminator brake (mistakenly shipped & will be replaced with their Tactical Compensator ) JP Rifles midlength gas system, adjustable gas block JP Rifles/VTAC Free float handguard Harris Bipod Badger Tac Latch Optics: Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x amber mildot IBHugeBrake The intent of this rifle is to be a tack driver up to 400yds or so. She's a bit heavy (9.1lbs) but is a smooth shooter with no recoil. I had a Mueller APV on it earlier, but swapped it out for an Accupoint when eBay had 30% off. The JP handguard is fucking AWESOME. Much lighter than a quad rail and easier to hold onto. The SOPMOD stock works very well for me. It's got a great cheek weld and the heft balances out the weight of the SS barrel. The extra cost over the VLTOR stock was worth it to me so it doesn't pull out my beard. The only thing left on my to-buy list is a nicer trigger. All that's left to do is sight in the Accupoint this weekend and await my 1200rds of Prvi 75gr that comes Monday.
