    Oh, and thanks guys!

Yeah, I know the light was pelfed... I took the pic as soon as I got the frame up. It was fixed 2 seconds later...

I really like it all but the choice of wood. For me, I just dont think any softwood has a decent enough grain for stain. Too open gained for my taste. But I applaud your work in building this entirely, including taken the pic that is in the frame. I would be pretty proud if it were mine

Yeah, I tried a couple different fillers on test stain thingies, but couldn't find one that really matched the wood... Any good ones? So I just sanded best I could to get em to line up. Not perfect...

with a mat cutter? It's a dual mat, off white and green, which I prolly wouldn't do again, and might get rid of. i'm a much bigger fan of double white mats these days...

But I have a halfway descent mat cutter, so it wasn't hard...

And the mat is a little light for the size frame and image, but it's hard to find oversized mat around here...

    thanks!

I wasn't too sold on the pine either, and now that I know I can do it, i'll get better wood. This was really a test that ended up going well enough that i'm proud of it...

that is hard! I wouldnt know.. i've managed to get away with sawdust and glue before, but it wasn't in such an obvious location.
