Finder ugliness after installing Tiger...

    After upgrading to Tiger, all the apps in the Applications folder have ".app" attached to them. Any ideas how to turn that off? It's ugly, to say the least.

    Nevermind. Preferences->turn off "show all file extensions" :o

    haha, whatever. shit shouldn't be mucking with my preferences after upgrading ;)

    here's one for you though: how can I set the view timeout in mail? i.e., I don't want a message marked as read unless I've viewed it for XX seconds.

    I use Thunderbird, but I thought I'd give the new Mail a try. I don't like it much yet.
