Decided on a Glock 36. Going to the range tonight to fire it for the first time. Can't wait.

Glocks FTW, I assume because of the model you have intentions on carrying it? Are you going to mod it or add night sights at all?

yep for conceal. they had a night sight version that was 100 dollars more but i figure that if i ever need to use it, my target will probably be within 8 feet of me. i may change my mind about that later, the dealer told me some people think it helps their aim.

The G36 is a single stack .45, all the other baby Glocks are double stack IIRC.

The G26 is a double stack 9mm. It isn't part of the slim line family and may be considered "chubby"... but it's a very nice gun for a carry piece.

Night sights are overrated. Seriously, how much aiming are you going to do on a stand off situation where you must draw and fire your weapon in a matter of seconds. If you can't hit your target or desired spot within a few feet in front of you, then you may want to just opt for a hand grenade.

    point and shoot.

not many shootouts are gonna be too far away or provide time to be aiming down the sights and shit. within several feet = draw and fire

Have fun spending a shitload of time acquiring your target and sniping away with your handgun while you get your shit fucked up by your desired target.

It may take you a 'shitload' of time to get a sight picture, but that's probably because you suck.

Must be a troll post. But I'll bite... You should be able to draw, get a picture and shoot in a little over a second.
