Hey guys. I finally purchased an ar15. I was thinking about building my own, but didn't think I could do that very easily, so I decided to purchase one. It's a Bushmaster M4. I know I over-paid picking it up locally, but I really wanted it right away. Anyway, here are some pics of it with my G19. I can't wait to shoot this during the weekend. I also picked up 500 rounds of .223 in bulk.

I wanted to pick up another 30rd magazine, but the were all out @ the shop. Where do you guys recommend getting accessories. I really want another magazine and I'd also like to get a scope so I can do some long distance target shooting.

Any other recommendations let me know.

    Not too bad.
I have no idea what Bushmasters cost

This is what I got for $725 plus $25 ffl and replacing the pistol grip (which I reccomend you do)
I got my rifle cheaper because I nought the upper and lower separate.
I highly reccomend you get CProducts magazines and use them and only them. I ordered some cheapos from 44mag.com for $10 each. I push the follower down 1/4'' and they get stuck. I bought the cproducts and I can put my entire finger down the mag pushing on the front or back of the follower with minimal jams.
And whats crazy is I got them for $10 at my local gunshow.

    NHMTG mags FTW.

I'd get ammo cans too for storage. My RRA is on the way and for $1,200 I got the following

    Midlength A4 (flattop)
    CAA collapsible stock
Front and rear flip up iron sights
    Hogue rubber grip
    Chrome lined barrel
    Scope mount w/ rings
    Surefire M85 quad rail

I have also purchased 39, 30rd magazines, a Pelican 1750 case, 2,000rds of XM193, 1,000rds of IMI, 500rds of Black Hills 68gr BTHP, 200rds of SS109, and 7 SAW ammo cans. I think an ACOG TA31DOC may be in my future as well.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll check out those sites for mags. I got two ammo cans with my bulk ammo that I purchased so I should be ok with that for now. Anything else I should pick up before going to the range? Where do you guys buy your targets online?

This may be a stupid question, but there is no option to select your manufacturer? I'm assuming all ar15 mags are the same...so I can pick any that I want for my Bushmaster? Or am I wrong?

As long as there USGI mag's dont worry about the particular manafactuer, avoid promags and USA mags, stick with USGI, also avoid the thermolds I think the bushy mag wells are a bit tighter then others and the thermolds dont fit in that freely.

I'd read up on the FAQs and threads in the Optic forum on ar15.com and then make a choice.
