After over 2 weeks, I finally got my Mosin 91/30 in the mail. My dad chewed the delivery guy out for being a dumbass.

The bolt was sticking out of the package by the time I got it., and the tools were loose inside the box, and ended up scratching the gun up a little.
Took the picture of the delivery guy and the package to send to FedEx in a complaint.

$63.95 for a 1943 Ishevsk Arsenal marked 91/30 in Excellent shape. Doesnt look like its seen much use. Looks like all the numbers match. Paid $20 extra for a handselect excellent bore, and Shipping  was $11.58

The reciever appears to be ground down. Is this a characteristic of Russian rifles produced late in the war or is this some other thing? Any info appreciated.

yes, durring the war, mass production began, quality became a thing of the past...which is why you want one pre 1939 or 33 if you want a hex barrel

    Who used those?

Excuse my ignorance. My dad has a gun from Vietnam that looks pretty similar. They don't make shells for it anymore though. :o

Yeah. Nothing but the box it came in and another layer of cardboard around the gun. But only one layer at the ends. The tools were loose inside the box, so was the bayonet. The stock got a little scratched up b/c of the loose tools.
