I know thats paperweight to a lot of you fuckers but for me its amazing. I only did it 4 times but it was my 4th set and my arms and chest were shot. Considering I was barely benching 100lbs in September, I think its pretty damn good.

if you did it 4 times, you probably could have hit it a month ago.

    nice work :hi5:

Nice man. Getting close to 225. Finally being able to bench 2 plates for more than one rep was the first time I starting feeling really good benching.

If I'm not repping 225 by May, I have failed.

Sorry no training log. thanks for the compliments! I didn't have a real set routine, but heres what I did. I did chest about twice a week, sometimes maybe 3 times. Everytime I did chest I started with barbel bench press 5x5. Then I chose 2 or 3 exercises from the list below. I tried to make sure I didnt do the same exercises on back to back chest workouts, but sometimes I did.

All these are 3 sets, reps are 10, 8, 6
    incline barbel bench press
    decline barbel bench press
    dumbbell flies
    cable cross overs
    dumbbell pull overs
    chest dip

If it matters I took a whey/creatine shake everday. On workout days I took it immediately after my workout, on off days I took it an hour before bed.

    congrats man.

I went into the jim excited today and thought I was going to pull off a power rep. Last month, I did 225 for four (last two had a little help) I tried to do 250and only got it like 8" off my chest :wtc:

Very rarely would I suggest working in heavy singles for the non-strength athlete. This goes double for the dieter. And there's pretty much no need to do maxes of any kind unless you're a powerlifter.

I know this is hard for some people to accept, mainly because they're fat and strong and get an ego boost from being a big bencher. But if you're not competing, what does a big bench give you back? Um, not much, unless you count injuries. Oh, and other fat strong dudes will admire you. Maybe you train to impress fat guys. I train to impress lean women. To each his own.

Somewhat related story: I get compliments on my chest development a lot. My massage therapists say it's overdeveloped! First question is, how much do ya bench? Answer: No idea. Haven't tested a 1RM in years. Hell, I haven't barbell benched pressed in years! So my bench probably sucks. But I have an "overdeveloped" chest anyway from dumbbell benching, dips, flyes etc.
