That's good. I really wanted to bring Big Dots to Fighting Pistol next weekend.

I also wanted to bring my 1911 but it's still away getting work. So Hi-Power it is!

Later I'll put the other set on my wife's XD.
If I can get the damn stock sights off.

XD sights are notorious for this. Drift Right to Left (if you're not already)

You could always try putting the slide in the freezer for an hour or so then drift it out.

Yah, I plan to do the freezer thing.

What gun do you have TFOs on? I might buy them if they're for a G19

Like you're looking down the sights. Ejection port side to take down lever side. GL :bigthumb:

anyone know if these would add any benefeit to game shooting? I've heard they help speed up your sight picture, but at a cost of accuracy. I'm thinking about getting these for my Sig P228, which would still allow it to be in Production for USPSA. The Post and Dot set up is what I'm familiar with currently, otherwise I'd be going for the standard 3 dot Tritium setup. Next sights will have tritium, as it doubles as a carry gun.

Depends, I do speed steel every once and a while and I think the front sight would cover some of the targets that are further away. There are plenty of other good sites too besides XS Big Dots. IMO they probably aren't the best choice if you want to use the gun for gaming and self defense.

Make sure they are loctited good before you take the class lest they decide to move at an inopportune time :eek4: Are you going to the one in Bastrop next Mon/Tues? A couple of our guys will be in attendance if so. The XD's are notorious for being a pain in the ass to remove, they are installed with a hydraulic press and occasionally have to be cut out with a dremel or something.

jeeppilot, if you want them on a gun that will mainly be used for competition I recommend our Standard Dot. It's still larger than the front of normal 3 dots won't fully cover the targets at longer distances like the Big Dot will. That being said I shoot tactical 3 gun with my daily carry M&P9 with Big Dots and do ok, I'll be setting one of the M&P9L's soon as a limited gun with Standard Dots though.
