Finally got past 100..

    The 100's were like a mental block or something. Yesterday I picked up the 110's on flat bench and somehow put out 9 reps.. :)

    :o I can do 100's for 3 reps...im working my way up....doing 90's and 95's with more reps, then hopefully get more reps on the 100's

    Very nice. It's hard for me to do more than 80 without someone else to help me get setup. The initial setup for me takes so much energy and hurts my elbows, even if I kick off with the weights on my thighs. I also understand what you are saying about the mental block :)

    My gym only goes to 100's :squint: I used to think that I'd never get there but I got em for 8 yesterday. :wiggle:

    my gym only has 100's...

    100's @ 15 reps was my last set


    my old gym had 120's...those were nice for 8 reps

    Honestly, I've never BB maxed or DB maxed for that matter. I just recently started doing BB and that's only on decline really and on that I usually do 245 for a good amount of reps.

    I can do around 275 for 10 on barbell but with DB's I can only do the 100's for 10, I dunno. My DB numbers have always sucked.

    My dumbbell is ALWAYS significantly lower than my barbell.

    Barbell I can rep 225 4x. Dumbbells I have a hard time putting up 90s twice.

    My gym has a monolift, chalk box, and deadlift platform for shits sake but the DB's only go up to 100, I don't get it.

    at least you got a monolift and chalk. all I got is a deadlift platform, which I hardly ever use anyway.

    My gym also only goes up to 100lb DB's, and I have a feeling that I'm going to be restricted by them fairly shortly.
