CA laws are really pissing me off. Repost from main forum

Finally picked up my Remington 870 after 10 full 24hr periods. Man was it a bitch to even get, damn CA laws. heres the pics [IMG] The gun lock they made me buy so i could take it home. They needed a reciept for the gun lock to give it to me, I didnt even open it, so im going to return it tommorow. They still made me get it even though i brought a gun lock, But it didnt have a receipt. ugh [IMG] DO NOT USE ON A LOADED GUN [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

the barrel is only up to 3in, according to the stamping on it. But no, i dont intend to shoot that right now.

edit: the magnum model is for 3in, the Super magnum is for 3.5in.

i have a lock collection. Probably 20+ locks for 7 guns. A lot of times the gun locks that come with the gun aren't on the california approved list (yes, the LOCK ITSELF must be on the list) so you'd have to buy a separate ca approved lock. Most of my locks came with my guns though, some from the local range giving them away, and some I had to buy because I had no receipt

exactly. The one i had was CA approved, but nope, no reciept. But im taking it back today and buying the cleaning kit, a brush, and put the rest toward a soft case.:wiggle:

I have 12 locks. The only gun that had a CA Approve lock was a Mossberg 500 that I bought 2 1/2 years ago. I wanted the lock that came with my Colts, just for kicks. The dealer was an ass, he said he threw it away as soon as he got them in. You atleast got the locks.
