Whew. Finally got it in and bolted down. It's still dirty from moving it, and for some reason, I'm missing a shelf, but here it is!

$699 + tax (I used my cabela's points, so it was actually $50 less) Lifetime Warranty. 550# fire rated at 1250 for 45 mines at 334 degrees.

I guess my safe isn't interesting :hs:

I need to look at some other peoples' safes to figure out the best way to organize it.

Looks nice. If I had a safe like that I have a bunch of money wrapped like a mobster. Probally be 500 dollars all in ones, but itd still be funny.

hah. I'm waiting for the custom AK I ordered and the safe and install was like $700 - so there's ZERO money left to put in the safe :wtc:

Nice safe... I'll be in the market for one shortly. I have a pretty major remodel going on at my house so there isn't any point to getting one now.

What made you go electronic lock instead of a standard combo lock? A lock smith friend of mine stongly suggested a standard mechanical lock.

convinience and speed. It has a lifetime warranty, so I'm not worried about the digital portion breaking - supposedly, they'll replace it for free if something ever happens to it.

I'm torn. On the one hand, I'm totally with you. The speed and convinience of punching in a few buttons is  and knowing with a little practice you be 5 seconds away from anything you need in the safe. On the other hand, simple, 100+ year old proven technology that won't break if it gets too hot/cold/wet/dry/etc... has it's advantages too...

damn I was just looking at the forestock and it looks just like my auto-5, but the rail on the barrel should have given away that it wasn't the same thing.

I'm thinking of putting a velcro shelf or 2 on the inside of the door for the mags and holsters... anyone have any ideas?
