Dubbed the rifle that won the War and called the "the greatest implement of battle ever devised," by Patton, she is a fine weapon.

I got her yesterday. She's a SA SG from the CMP, but of course, and looks just dandy.

I looked up the serial, 2145864, and it was made in November of 1943. It finally got to meet my greatgrandfathers Model 1905 WWI bayonet last night.

I also have 768 rounds of the Greek ammo waiting to be fired. The stock doesn't seem very oily so I dunno if a full cleansing is in order.

    Well, enjoy...

it was about a 45 day wait, even though they said 60-90 day backorder. it cost me 500 plus 22 for shipping.

well worth it, i think. you can get cheaper rack grades to put new parts into or just hang it on the wall. correct grades will go for about 1,000 and they have matching parts and whatnot.

Yeah, 45 days isn't bad at all. And I don't have any problem spending $522 on somthing like this. The stock on yours looks in very good condition.

Hopefully your butt isn't full of grease like mine was. Took me 2 hours and a half roll of paper towels to get it cleaned. See your upper heand guard was damaged too. I've got the original, but when I saw the crack in it I called CMP and they gladly sent me a Greek made one free.

The stock is brand new birch, so no grease, and I'm trading hand guards to get the whole thing matchin in terms of wood.

Im happy with my M1 that I got from them. Paid I think 450 for it and its worth over 700. My dad recently bought a 1945 model that was never issued from a guy for about 1200. Went on the cmp or the govt one and saw the same one and he said last time he looked it was at 2200 and still skyrocketing. Me and him fired them on friday. My shoulder is still a little sore.

My dad is a big collector of guns and has some unissued ones lying around. Im sure he buys them at gun shows or ebay. He gives me the cloth ones and he puts the unissued leather ones on his

Actually I think hes had them for a couple decades maybe. IDK

    Any gun website/store/etc etc.

They're only like $5, unless you have to specifically have a WW2 dated flat buckle blah blah blah sling. Then look forward to paying $25-$100.
