    I know, I'd rather have the rifle. Thankfully our overlords in Cook County believe that a GSG-5 with rifle stock = assault weapon.

    After months of 'planning' on picking up a GSG-5 Pistol, I finally did it. Only I bought two. I know, I know, It probably won't be worth much more in a year, but the ending of the lawsuit might help!

    Should be here next week.

    Cheap shooting!

    They also believe a pistol that accepts a detachable magazine outside of the pistol grip is an assault weapon.

    (3) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and has one or more of the following:

    (A) Any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand;

    (B) A folding, telescoping or thumbhole stock;

    (C) A shroud attached to the barrel, or that partially or completely encircles the barrel, allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel;

    (D) A muzzle brake or muzzle compensator; or

    (E) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.

    my pk is pretty fun. the only issue i have is the screws backing out. but typically they hold up long enough for a few hundred rounds.

    Me too. I had a PK also and really wanted to SBR it but couldn't justify spending another $200 on a tax stamp and money on a stock/VFG also. Plus I did a little research and I guess they're not good suppressor hosts either, which is a downside as well. I sold mine but will probably pick up a GSG-5 rifle in the future. It shot great and felt solid, was a good little gun.

    yeah, I sold mine too after owning it for a little bit. In all honesty, kinda regret it. That SBR GSG looks pretty fucking fun. Imagine it with a can. All I need is someone to load all of the mags cause those fuckers go fast. I did a few tweaks with mine that were very minor and mine ran %100.

    I did the screw swap and lengthend my FP and the thing ran like a champ. I couldn't pull the trigger fast enough.

    I'm apparently not the only person who paints the front sight post on their GSG-5.

    I was at a gun show last weekend. 2 tables had the same gun for sale. One guy was selling it for 525 new with some mags. Another guy was selling it for 800 new, he put "no longer imported" on the card. I wanted to tell that guy you can still buy them new at gun shops for 500-550.

    I always thought a 9mm MP5k would make an ideal HD weapon. Small enough you could use it as a pistol with one hand, but also the option for a stock if you needed the control. I wish GSG made their guns in calibers other than .22lr.
