My AR has been sitting in the same spot for months now...and I figured I'd revitalize it. I'd like to use it as one of my home defense weapons, and to do that I should really have a light for it. So I picked up a Surefire 6P, Viking VTAC mount, and the BrightFlashLights.com tapeswitch. Got a really good deal, and I definitely recommend them for any AR purchases. Anyway, I also ordered the Malkoff Devices led drop in to boost the light to 220+ lumens. Anyway, here are some pics.

I'll have to see what I can fit. I know nothing will fit folded below the back of the optic.....unless I put a riser on the optic. I wanted to kinda avoid that. I could slide the optic up further and fit something that way I guess.

not many people want a useless piece of metal if their optic goes tits up in the street.

How hard is it to replace my front site with a flip down front site? I'd like that ability so I don't have the front site in my view through my optic. I'm assuming with this gun I'd have to take it to a smith to et done. Anyone got a ballpark on labor for something like that? While I'm at it, I should probably get the barrel threaded for a suppressor down the line.

Honestly, how many non-shit scopes have you had go tits up, and how many of them that left you in a position where it was your ass on the "street"?
