I downloaded a few Final Fantasys to play on psxe, currently playing FF7 on my laptop whenever I've got free time to kill.

Just a question, do I need to level up every fucker in my party? Or can I train just my strongest 3? I've completed FF7 in the past and If my memory serves me right everybody has to fight in the end or atleast 6? It would make this game alot more enjoyable if I didn't have to train every fucker thats joining my party.

    Help? :mamoru:

You get to choose how many you want to use at the end. It is possible to just use 3.

As long as you level your materia, it really doesn't matter. The game will slowly auto-level any characters not in your party. By the time you get to the end they should all be at a decent level. Regardless, well leveled materia is what makes the difference in the end.

Yeah, but that's only for one part of the final battles, and not the final battle.

But to complete the game right you're pretty much going to need to keep everyone in tip top shape. Everyone has their own little thing that they'll have to be in the party for.

People not in your party still gain a little experience per fight, but not much.

:werd: Do all FF games after 7 slowly auto level people currently not in your party?

Oh, heres a tip for the future... get another playstation emulator and MemManager.exe because FF7 will freeze and lock up in pretty much every emulator, but where one emulator fails another may work.

AdriPSX works fine for the parts FF7 breaks on in epsxe

Are you using the Save States or the regular in game saves? The save states are awesome, but you'll want to keep saving in-game too like you normally would for the instances where it does crash, the memmanager won't convert save states to load up on another emulator.

It doesn't crash for a while, the first time I played on emulator I think it crashed at Nibelheim flashback, the gold saucer, and the temple of the ancients.

I'm currently playing the game now and it crashes as I walk into the image at the temple of the ancients where it's supposed to show aries' materia falling in the water, but it hasn't crashed before that this time.

For some reason my adriPSX won't work so I gotta download it again to get past that part and I've just been too lazy to download that and reconfigure it and everything :o

Defeating the weapons was the only hard part that required higher level dudes.

The only time you'll need to worry about levels, proper gear and materia-levelling is if you decide to go and fight Emerald and Ruby Weapon.

Hell, so long as you have the Underwater Materia and a semi-coherent materia layout Emerald isn't that bad. And the only reason Ruby is hard is cause he turns the fight into a one-on-one affair if you go in with all 3 people alive.

...If you're playing FFVII on a PC, why not have a little fun and install some mods? There are all sorts--you can change the music, the avatar icons, and even swap Sephy for Cloud as your main.

Example, as seen in this fan vid.

That's what I did. He still sucked them up. So I reset and built a way to kill him with only Cloud. It still revolved around quad-KotRs, I just had a way to deal with his Ultima-countering and replenish my MP at the same time. It still took about an hour, but it basically went "quad-KotR... X-Potion...repeat..."

My favorite way to start off the weapon battles is with all three characters at 7777hp

It's real easy to do, just get damaged 'till you have 77hp at the end of your hit points then just use potions to heal up to 7777hp with each character, making sure to not re-use a 7777hp character in battle until the weapon fight (just swap with a character you're not planning on using, then do it again, then get the third character to 7777 and swap in the other two that have it)

Does a fuck load of damage, I think it does 7777dmg 64 times each character. Still not enough to kill either one by itself but certainly is faster than watching KotR a million times.

i dunno though, it might not if all three characters have it... might divide the 64 attacks between the three. might be just as easy doing it for one character, dunno, never counted when all three were doing it but I heard something to this extent.
