I have a laptop running Vista that my girlfriend uses and I use my Powerbook with Leopard.

How do I setup filesharing between the two?

Mine was set up automatically. I have a home network with a wireless router. When I go to finder, all the computers in my network show up under the Shared list and i can access their shared files.

That seems to work with XP but with Vista the only way I can make my vista shares show up under Leopard is to go to Connect to Server (option-K) in the finder and punch in the IP address of the vista machine. It doesn't automatically discover, but once you do this once, it stays in the menu and only takes a couple clicks to bring back after a restart.
