I had a customer send me some zip files inside a .pdf file and I can't open them or save them to my hd. When I try to open them or save them I get a security settings error. I've tried to change the security settings but no luck. I don't have a full version of acrobat reader. Anyone have any input?

Tell them to re-send with the security settings changed so you can copy content.

Getting these guys to do anything is kind of tough. It was hard to get them to send these files in the first place.

If I get a full version of Acrobat Professional can I just modify the .pdf file to allow me to save the documents?

I think Google has a PDF reader that ignores permissions. No version of Adobe Acrobat is going to ignore permissions.
