file sharing from 98 to xp using cross-over. any1 have any tips?

    Both need to belong to the same workgroup, and for simplicity sake, turn on NetBEUI on both computers.

    netBEUI isnt standard in winxp

    just use tcp/ip.

    set 98 machine to 192.168.0.1
    set xp machine to 192.168.0.2
    subnet: 255.255.255.0

    workgroup the same for both
    then share whatever folder/disk you want to access on the 98 computer

    Considering how many people have problems with just TCP/IP in 98 and file sharing...
