Running a W2K box that is the main file server (same one with the hot drives on it). All it does is file server, run a pervasive database for the accountants, and backs up its data with Backup Exec. Is there any reason I should be low on memory with 256 MB of RAM? I put another stick in it to bump it 384 but something just isn't right if you have tor eset your server right?

at work we have a w2k box w/ macola (i believe that uses pervasive..) but are not running backup exec. we haven't rebooted that guy for months now and i haven't noticed any problems (although it does have 512mb ram.)

i would say it's a problem w/ one of the programs.. probably not w2k, but :dunno:

And backup exec is a pretty solid piece of software that's been around for ages. :wtc:
