Can you get one if you live in an apartment and do not have a safe?

Took me around a month to get mine, it came last week.

Even if I never buy a single gun with it; it has already payed for itself, with Midway, Brownells, Numrich and Graf and sons dealer discounts.

Fun fact it took the NRA 9 business days longer to get my membership processed than it did to get a C&R

I had mine a few years ago, and it took just a few weeks to get it back. I have since moved states, and the process to change your address has been a bitch. It'd probably be easier to just re-apply, but I don't want to go through the hassle of getting fingerprints done again.

yeah, disregard.... I applied to out of state ccw for FL at the same time, and got confused...

it's still been a hassle trying to update addresses.

Call them, they are very helpful and will let you know the status of your paperwork.

Oops, I was reading that on my phone and I didn't see that part.

Seems longer than normal, but it really depends. Sometimes examiners will go on vacation etc.

there's not C&R requirement to have a safe. although here there is a state law about "not properly securing your firearms". story in the paper a few days ago about 2 teenagers found a hang gun, played with it, one shot the other, and the police are trying to find the owner to charge them with that.
