    Good Lord! :wtf: am I thinking. :wtc:

    Current stats:
    Weight: 258 :noes:
    Height: 6'5" (hopefully this doesn't change)
    BMR: 2455
    Body fat: 18% (online calculation, I wouldn't be surprised if it's higher)
    H-B Maintain: 2946 cal
    5K time: Infinity!

    Goals:
    Weight: 200
    Height: 6'5" :x:
    5k time: 18:00 :run:

    Currently I have a very pregnant wife and a 3.5 year old daughter. My wife is due in probably 6-7 weeks (due date is 5/12, but it'll be a planned c-section). Other things coming up are:
    College graduation: 8/9/08
    Wife's cousin's wedding (as daddy of flowergirl): 10/25/08
    Friend's wedding (as groomsman): 12/20/08

    Beginning Plans:
    Limit caloric intake - no sodas, primarily water to drink, limit portions, no sweets
    Light anerobic - pushups, sit-ups (open to other suggestions for things to do at home)
    Introduce cardio - walks with family, intense cardio on elliptical :hsugh:, maybe basketball 2x/week :x:

    Down the road:
    After I get some weight off, move from elliptical to road (knees don't seem to handle running so well with all this extra weight).
    Maybe add weights or trips to gym - this part is going to be hard. I could go to the gym, but that's more time away from home. With a 3 yo and a newborn, that's not a favorable situation from the wife's point of view. :hs:

    Other goals: I want to have energy again. It feels like my lack of energy makes me lazy. I need to take that first step to start exercising so that maybe the energy level will follow.

    Your participation: I don't really care if anyone posts in here. This is mainly for me to keep track of what I'm doing and stay honest with myself. That being said, I would love suggestions and/or advice that would be helpful for my situation. "Who cares what your wife thinks; go to the gym!" would not fall in that category. I don't have an end date for my goal because I will need to do a lot to maintain it. If a lot of you think I need to put a date to help myself have a concrete end point to focus on, let me know and I'll put something up there.

    Breakfast:
    2 packs of cinnamon roll instant oatmeal plus raisins :hsugh: (450, 9g protein, 8g fiber, 55g sugar)

    Lunch:
    20 oz Caribbean Way smoothie (400 :eek3:, 2g protein, 6g fiber, 91g sugar :ugh: )

    Dinner:
    2 pieces lasagna (500)
    2.5 rolls (350)

    Snack:
    2 cups 1% milk + a little chocolate syrup (270)

    Water count:
    113.8 oz (20 - one of those propel packets)

    Notes:
    (B) Will be working down to 1 packet of regular oatmeal + raisins for breakfast
    (L) Holy shit. Will need to figure out better alternative. I'm thinking chicken in a can? :dunno:
    (W) Um.. this propel stuff tastes like shit.. may have to go back to the crystal light.. still 10 cal, I think. :x:
    (D) MMmmm.. real(ish) food. Needed extra calories to get me near 2,000. Wife thinks if I go to far under my typical calorie count for the day, my body will go into starvation mode and store extra crap.

    Cold Cut Combo, lite mayo, vinegar, lettuce, tomatoes, oregano (465, 21g protein, 5g fiber, 9g sugar)
    Baked Lays BBQ (120, 2g fiber, 2g sugar)
    20 oz Diet Coke :hsugh:

    Dinner:
    Crockpot Chicken and dumplings (570, 33g protein, 9g fiber, 21g sugar)

    Snack:
    (Before basketball) Homemade smoothie - 1c frozen mixed fruit, 1c Dannon light & fit, 1c oj, 1 banana (380)
    (After basketball) deli ham (50, 9g protein)
    1c 1% milk (110)

    Water count:
    113.8 oz (20)

    Notes:
    Overall, I feel a bit hungry during the day, but not too bad. I do need to throw some small meals in between the main meals - even out the calories. :dunno:

    Ugh. I'm still having trouble front loading my calories. I don't know if that's a big deal for weight loss, but it's a bit annoying.

    Pretty good weekend. I think I stayed under 2500 calories both days. I got some good exercise and worked outside all day Sunday. I'm thinking of calculating WW points rather than just counting calories. That should keep me away from fat. :dunno:

    I had Sinless Shit from Coldstone Creamery. Only 120 calories for a small. Tasted like shit though. :barf:

    Haven't been sticking to an exact diet, but more of a lifestyle change/plan.

    Down to 243.2 a couple nights ago. Still haven't started exercising. :ugh:
