I want to start working out for my second year in school. The problem is that im very skinny (5 7, 145lbs) and i have an extremely fast metabolism.

Basically i can eat a sandwich and itll be out of my body in 1 1/2 hours or so.

So when i start eating protein for weight gain , will this be a problem? (not being able to keep the nutrients in me long enough)

Sorry if this is a bad question

5'7 & 145lbs isn't horribly skinny. It's not big by any means, but you aren't a skeleton either. Eat enough and you'll be fine.

I started where you are, so it's completely possible. Just aim for 2500 - 3000 calories and 150-200 grams of protein to start with. Get yourself some bodyfat calipers so you can measure bodyfat changes in relation to total weight changes. Adjust calories accordingly.

Dumb question, how do i know how many calories are in the food? They dont list it anywhere on campus. Protein i guess is easier because of protein shakes, and nutritional facts

    Thanks again.
