I've heard of people doing this before, and now I'm interested. I want to be able to play all my MP3's onto a radio station. The only problem is, I don't know exactly what type of software and hardware I need to do this. I'm not trying to make money off of it, or anything like that. I just want to supply my town (small) with some good tunes rather than the few country ones we get. I know that this can be illegal up to a point, but I forgot what the rules are; so please enlighten me.

basically it all comes down to transmission power. in order to cover a large area (like a town) you're going to need a lot more than a 9V battery :eek3:

don't know the legality of it.. i think the rule is that you can't transmit over XXX kW without a license. plus you have to stay in a certain frequency.
