Was basically just going out to shoot something different, and try to learn some more. As soon as the camera and lens came out the backpack, parents came running asking to buy pictures. I was caught off guard and told them I really didnt have any "packages" to sell them, or any sample pics to show them. But I said Id take a few and print them out to show them tomorrow(it was practice the day befor the game) and come up with a package for them to purchase. Well, I shot a few pics, went home and put together a couple collages and portrait pics in fotofusion, and printed out a few 12x12's to put in the picture album to show them. Well, that thing got passed around the stands like a drunk, passed out Jessica Alba at a frat party. Befor I knew it(literally like maybe 30 minutes), I had 30 signatures and 30 payments all in advance . Coaches/umpire let me stand just about anywhere on the field, but I was still a little photographer shy and didn't really get out of the batting box Games lasted until like 7pm...it was dark and the 70-200 2.8 REALLY saved me...even with really high ISO, it was a tuff one trying to have a high enough shutter speed to stop the action. Since then(about 3-4 weeks ago), ive been getting calls all the time of parents wanting me to come to their kids game and take pictures. And, as soon as I get there and let the album get passed around again, I'd have 5-10 more payments Well, here are a few sample pics. All pics resized and saved to 50% quality ....on 56k now.... This was shot with the homemade reflector. A foam board with aluminum foil on it As you can see from the background, the shadows were long and hardnaughty, it was about 5pm. The reflector really filled in here face.(no flash) Baseball card that was the favorite from everyone.
