My gf is turning 27 in November and was just wondering what are some good birthday gifts. My girlfriend doesn't have a lot, so I'm thinking of getting her an iPod Nano (Pink) along with the docking station.

If that's not a cool birthday gift, any suggestions/recommendations would be great. Figured, you females could tell me what's hot in the market. Thanks.

I think that's a very nice gift for a gf. Especially if she has been interested in getting one.

    jewerly is always nice...

but get her something you think she really needs that will be useful

i dont like expensive presents or something that looks nice..

it's more about getting something useful..

like my ex got me a really nice printer/scanner and that is something that;s very useful to me and i use it almost on daily basis

Please for the love of God ignore this advice. While useful gifts are nice, sometimes it has to be about getting something that is a want and not a need. A birthday is for fulfilling wants, not needs (or at least it should be :o )

After many years of getting things like vacuum cleaners for my birthday, my husband finally bought the perfect present this year that completely shocked me. He bought me a morning at the spa. You want to know what I asked for this year? A microwave. Talk about wowing your SO with a gift like that though!

If my memory serves me right, this will be your first birthday gift to her. PLEASE don't get her something overly practical!

Just my opinion. I think an Ipod sounds great if she wants one. All you have to do is observe what she likes and dislikes, and I have confidence in you that you will pick the perfect gift :)

Looks like you're keeping a track of my relationship quite well. :wavey: Do you think an iPod and a dock station is too much?

    I'm a woman, I have a wonderful memory :o :mamoru:

It's up to you to decide how much you want to spend :) Other people will probably think that is too much, some will think it's just fine. Follow what YOU think. :)

i didnt know how long they been together for

after getting necklaces and teddy bears and gift cards from my ex for 5 yrs...something different and useful was nice for a change.

he still has christmas, valentines day and any other day he decides to give her a present..

ask what she wants..or pay attention to things she is always looking at in the store and such..

if she goes to the gym, an ipod might be a good idea for her

It's cool..thanks for the input. Yeah, she just came to America 5 yrs ago and has been wanting an iPod for the longest time, but can't afford it. So decided to get her the pink one and the attachable boom box.

i came in here to post that you should give her something that will mean something special to her. it really is the thought that counts especially for women.

My boyfriend bought me my nano and I love it.

If you dont know what music to put on it just buy her a Itunes card so she can get it herself. It works great for me becuase my bf and I listen to two totally different kinds of music.

This year I want a laptop backpack or an xm antenna for my xm radio, a simple birthday party with my friends. (im one of those functional gift kind of girls)

Im not expecting to get all of that btw.

yeah, but if he KNOWS what type of musice his girl likes (and he should) he could put at least a few songs on it, and im sure it would mean the world to her, because that would mean he knows about her.

    Ill give ya that one.

I listen to country and some pop.

    He listens to rap.

I couldnt pick out a song that he likes becuase I cant stand to listen to his music 99% of the time.

He can listen to mine for a little while but not much longer than that. Im different in the sense of I would rather have the giftcard so that way I make sure I get what I like and he cant mess it up and in the long run waste money one something I wont use.

id download it for free anyways, so i would just be wasting my time, and i am ALL about wasting my time with the girl i am with or interested in. :o

well, not wasting my time per say. :hsd:

edit: plus the attempt of putting songs she likes on there, would get to some of the girls i know. plus, if he were to look at the top 20 "country" songs, im sure she would like some of those...
