I've recently been having an interesting experience to my slave's reaction to certain sounds, and I was wondering if anyone has had an experience similar. For instance, we have recently begun to use a collar. The collar I have has a clasp that clicks together. Now, I have never had any issues with my slave not obeying or anything of the sort, ever. He is a very good slave. I noticed something the first time about his reaction to the sound of the collar being clicked shut when it was being put around his neck. His eyes kind of glazed over more than normal and go out of focus, and he lost all sense of anything other than what he was instructed to do. It's like every time he hears that click noise, he's almost in a trance like state. I thought maybe it was just a fluke, but every time he hears the click of that collar, it happens. It doesn't matter if it's when it's being put on, taken off, or when I'm just playing with the clasp. I already know that I have total control of my slave, even without the collar or the sound. I almost wonder if it is some kind of psychosomatic reaction. I'm just interested to know if anyone else has had anything similar or of the like happen.

People greatly underestimate the power of sounds...and smell too. Not just in a freak sense either, even a song with a history can stir up some powerful memories for me anyway. I've heard people say the smell of antibacterial dial becomes a turn on after a time because they use it regularly to clean up after the fact :dunno:

Makes sense to me though...there are plenty of otherwise unrelated sights, sounds and smells that evoke a reaction from me so I certainly understand it happening in the moment

edit - use this to your advantage

it sounds like a learned behavior...not any different than Pavlov's dogs.

when the collar goes on, he is to do as instructed....just so happens than the collar clicks when put on. The slave has related that particular sound to his need to obey. when it clicks, the slave goes into his obeying mode.

    psychology rules balls.

That's called "subspace" in the biz, but as somebody else said it's classical conditioning.

I don't like having a psych degree :mamoru: I always look at things too critically and overanalyze. But oh well, I guess it is good to over analyze instead of be ignorant.

sounds like a conditioned response to me.

I wouldn't call that subspace, however. As far as I know, that's more of a happily catatonic zen-state. If you can get him into that with the simple click of a collar, good for you! :big grin:

In more ways than one apparently. (Sorry, it had to be said)

I'm the same way. The smell of the rubber and the sound of the locks being clicked sends me into a trance like state also, very interesting how such little accidental sounds can send us into this huge world of emotions.
