Was skinny fat about 6 months ago. (6ft 195) Started really working out for the first time.

Right now im at 180. Put on a little bit of muscle while losing some fat.

Been eating clean and prolly right around 2k calories. (tuna, chicken boods, etc.)

The problem is i feel like i cant get the size that i want due to the low calorie intake. But i also want to lose like 10 more pounds. Basically in the stomach, love handle area.

My question to you broly bros is what would your plan of action be? (cut now bulk later or vice versa?

Just need some sort plan layed out to follow.

Ask any other questions about my diet or workout if needed.

    Thanks fellas

    .

Other people will disagree, but I think having muscle under a thick layer of fat is shitty.

you're not really fat now. If you start bulking up, a little bit of fat on top of muscle will only make you look bigger.

IF YOU ARE SKINNY AS FUCK WHICH YOU ARE YOU WONT BE ABLE TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL CUT BECAUSE YOUR BODY NEEDS TO BE AT A HEALTHY WEIGHT AND SINCE YOU HAVE NO MUSCLE IT WILL KEEP THE FAT AND EAT ALL YOUR MUSCLE NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO

BULK FIRST AND THEN CUT ONCE YOU ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHING TO CUT YOU SKINNY FUCKER

    love you :)

I disagree. Keep cutting until you are satisfied with your body fat. Then slowly bulk back up. Bump your calories by 300lbs, go a couple weeks, see if you are getting stronger (more important) or if you are gaining weight (less important).

If you aren't getting stronger/gaining weight after 2-3wks, repeat. Until you are slowly getting stronger. (this will allow you to gain muscle with minimal fat gain.)

edit: but simplicity does love you :bigthumb: so you got that going for you.

I started out by doing this... it was too slow. Plus why cut just to find out you are actually the skinniest dude on this side of the gender line.

20 bucks says he will lean out due to increased muscle mass

idk, my feeling is that you can more aggressively reduce the fat if you don't have to worry about trying to maintain all the muscle you've worked so hard for.

but idk, i had a respectable amount of muscle before it ever even occured to me i might want to cut down some fat, lol.

you are right, but at the same time its easier to lose fat when you have metabolically active muscle helping you out. also, my feeling is that you can more agressively eat every piece of food in sight when you dont have to worry about trying to maintain the bf% that youve worked so hard for.

were both right dude, just diff priorities. im doing a bulk right now so yup
