Looks like I'll be leaving the AR crew for a while. Gotta pay some bills related to my other expensive hobby (trackdays in the M3) and am planning to do a custom AR build later on.

I've had this CMMG rifle for about 9 months now and it's had around 600 rounds of brass cased Prvi, PMC, and Remington 55gr through it.

16" M4 flattop upper, Doublestar lower, F-marked FSB, 6 position M4 stock, 1:9 non-chrome barrel, and a nicely staked BCG. Rifle does not include a BUIS or carry handle with it.

Never had a single malfunction with the gun. It was cleaned regularly after range trips and in overall perfect condition. I can't find a single reason why this was a bargain bin rifle.

I'm asking $620 shipped to your FFL with 2 30rd CProducts magazines included. Anyone interested? This is a great first AR-15! :wavey:

The pictured EOTech was returned to CMMG. I do have a EOTech 553 for sale separate from the gun for a good price!

  5. Good luck with the sale. I used to be into track days, but gave them up so I could afford more gun stuff!

For a BBR wouldn't you have paid $500 or less for it?

The CMMG bargain bins were $570 plus tax and shipping.

:ugh: It's not. $570 with tax and shipping came out to $650 plus my local FFL fee. Firearms have to be shipped UPS Next Day air from what I understand which = expensive so I won't net near what I paid out the door for it.

CMMG also no longer offers the bargain bin rifles and this gun is still way cheaper than any other gun on the market.

How'd you wind up paying sales tax? Aren't you an IL resident and cmmg a MO company?

    Rifles can go ground though.

Hmm I think I fell off the wagon somewhere. What I mean is if you're an illinois resident and buy a gun from missouri, the seller in missouri should only charge you shipping + price of the item. Your illinois ffl should only charge you a transfer fee. If your il ffl is charging taxes, they're ripping you off.

As you might imagine I've guessed the latter happened and what the ffl might be :big grin:

The tax was charged directly from CMMG. I assumed it was at the federal level and was applied to all firearms. :dunno: In all likelihood I got fucked by CMMG as their customer service is one dumbass woman keeping track of shit with post-its.

At any rate, this gun is a phenomenal shooter and a great bargain for a first-time AR-15 owner. :wavey:

5.56 barrel and chamber. M4 feedramps match up nicely between the barrel and reciever.

Why is it called bargain bin? Is that like a "scratch and dent" type discount? I have a friend that'd be interested.
