Are you feeling depressed lately? Depression can do that to you. It does it to me nearly every single day. I just fill my head with empty thoughts and lose track of time and sometimes I don't even know what day it is. I don't remember much detail about little things anymore like I used to.

Long term depression really takes a toll on your mind. The way you think and the way you act changes dramatically. Personality and everything. After 2 years or so of being depressed, I'm starting to notice that I don't even know who I am anymore. I definitely know how you feel man.

First of all, what is it that's making you depressed, if anything? You have to figure that out and work your way from there.

I think I've pretty much gotten it figured out for myself, but I'm having a hard time acting on it.

You don't have to wish, go see a fucking doctor dude. You live once, would you rather live in depression and complain about it, or make every effort (ie talking to a professional) to fix it.

My brother had trouble focusing in school and he had some medication he was prescribed which helped him do his homework and study for tests. It seems like your lack of focus is due to depression, but if you think it's unrelated then there's definitely stuff out there that could help you with that.

Aren't you on like 4 different behavioral meds? Every thread you make makes you seem more and more like a hypochondriac who wants to have a new disorder, when really you already know what you could do to pull yourself out of your depression.

That's the basic problem, [mod whose name is too long to abbreviate] -- nothing is going to work, and nothing can work, until he takes responsibility for effecting change in his own life. Taking charge of his life, instead of blaming past events for his current state and pretending the obstacles are insurmountable, would also pretty much automatically snap him out of his depression, but he's gotten so used to it I think he likes it now. I think it feels normal for him now.

Trawling for pity might make him feel better in the short term, but it's no solution.
